Police arrested a stalker who claimed to have a child with American supermodel Cindy Crawford after the man showed up at the doorstep of her California home on Sunday, claiming he made the 5,000-mile journey from his home in England to meet and tell her about the fruit of their love.

According to law enforcement, security officials at Crawford’s home called the cops when the suspect, identified as Mohammed Kler, 51, started knocking on doors and windows at the fashion icon’s abode.

The stalker has since been charged with felony stalking for lurking around one of Cindy's California properties amid his attempts to confront Crawford with the outlandish claim that he has fathered a child with her, the Daily Mail reported.

Officers said Kler had attempted to explain himself and referred to his kid with Crawford as police handcuffed him.

“On February 27th, 2022, Lost Hills Station deputies responded to a trespassing call,” a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s office said in a statement. “After conducting their investigation, they arrested a male adult suspect for the crime of stalking. It is unknown which part of the U.K. the suspect is from.”

However, the authorities are yet to determine whether the man has previously tried getting in touch with Crawford or any of her family members.

Meanwhile, the beauty mogul, 56, was not home at the time of the incident. The supermodel is currently keeping herself busy in France, where she walked the catwalk for Off White at the bi-annual Paris Fashion Week on Sunday evening.

Starting a prolific catwalk career during the 1980s, Cindy has appeared on numerous magazine covers and served as the original host of the supermodel-focused MTV series “House of Style,” which aired in 1989.

She married Rande Gerber, the Casamigos Tequila founder, in the Bahamas in 1998. Their daughters, Presley Gerber, 22; and Kaia Gerber, 20; also grace the fashion scene as models, according to the New York Daily News. Gerber and Crawford will be celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary in May.

Last week, Cindy offered her younger self a piece of classic advice to mark her 56th birthday, reminding herself that ”'life is a blessing.”
