Tonight's hotly anticipated Met Gala will feature a bevy of top celebrities, but arguably the most-talked about couple hitting the red carpet tonight will be Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn.
Woods and Vonn will make their red carpet debut tonight as guests of Vogue at one of the year's most celebrated fashion events. This coming just six weeks after the power couple officially announced their relationship to the world via Twitter. Since then, Vonn and Woods have made little, if any, attempt to conceal their romantic involvement. Vonn appeared in the gallery at the Masters Tournament in April as Woods sought his 15th major championship (he finished the week in Augusta tied for fourth place with Marc Leishman).
Sports' premier power couple will join several Hollywood A-listers, including Jennifer Lawrence, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, and Beyoncé at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night. And while many in the fashion world are abuzz over what "Wonn" will be wearing (tonight's event celebrates the exhibition "Punk: Chaos to Couture," and attendees are expected to be decked out in full punk rock aesthetic), the sports world has displayed a great deal of surprise given it's a tournament week for Woods.
The No. 1-ranked golfer in the world is set to tee off on Thursday at the Players Championship. This may be a sign that Woods is putting less emphasis on the Players, which could discredit the tournament's unofficial status as the PGA tour's "fifth major."
