Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s relationship rumors have dragged another name into the repetitive gossip cycle. George Clooney’s name has entered into the rumor mill of Pitt and Aniston’s story, citing the world famous actor and filmmaker as the cause of their latest reunion.
This is not the first time that the “Ocean’s Eleven” frontliner has been at the center of the Pitt and Aniston relationship rumors. Throughout the past year, Clooney has been dragged into the issue several times, having had to disclaim the allegations time and again. Here are the times that Clooney had gotten dragged into fabricated stories about the power couple’s rekindling of romance.
Clooney Bragging About Pitt And Aniston’s Relationship (New Idea, March 2018)
Last year, the gossip tabloid New Idea released a publication with “George Speaks Out: I Got Brad & Jen Back Together!” as its headline. After Pitt’s separation from his wife, Angelina Jolie, in 2016, the tabloid’s source claimed that Clooney was attempting to mastermind Pitt’s revisiting his relationship with Aniston. This has obviously been proven false as neither party has commented, nor has any real relationship news been released since this date.
Aniston’s “Secret” Visit To Clooney’s House (Radar Online, August 2018)
A hilarious story fabricated by Radar Online in August last year speaks of Aniston’s “secret” visit to Clooney’s villa. The article claims that the appearance of Aniston in Clooney’s house in Italy proves that Aniston and Pitt are getting back together.
What was happening at the time, however, was that Aniston and her co-star Adam Sandler had paid a visit to the former Batman actor. They were in Italy for the shooting of Netflix’s “Murder Mystery” when they decided to pay a visit to their friend.
Romantic Date In Italy (National Enquirer, September 2018)
National Enquirer claimed that the former couple had been patching their relationship, even showing up together at Clooney’s house in Italy for dinner. Clooney had allegedly become a “matchmaker,” thus hosting the dinner for the couple to smoothen their relationship up.
This was definitely untrue as both Pitt and Aniston were not seen in the same place that summer, with Aniston traveling over Europe for her shooting and Pitt in Los Angeles for his own movie shoots. Pitt also released a statement earlier in 2018 about wanting to focus on fatherhood instead of dating, further proving the dating stories to be untrue.
Double Date In Rome (Life & Style, June 2019)
Life & Style spins a story claiming that George and Amal Clooney once again brought Pitt and Aniston together, even going on a double date in Rome. Once again, the time and place aren’t as specific, and tracking their movements show them all to be in separate places at the alleged time span of their “Roman getaway.”
A video of a paparazzo was released in May where the paparazzo asked Pitt about the alleged Jen and Pitt reunion and showing the actor merely laughing it off and exclaiming “Oh my god” under his breath — pretty much sums how tired he is of all the rumors. Aniston has also been interviewed multiple times, with her saying that she’s not focusing on her love life right now, further disclaiming the dating rumors.
