Jeremy Clarkson gets into a Shelby GT500 to race a high-speed train from Wembly to Milan YouTube / BBC 2

Last week, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May took a road trip from Nevada that took them to the Mexican border of Calexico. Unfortunately for Richard Hammond, his SRT Viper was sabotaged by the shameless cheats that are his so-called co-presenters.

With Clarkson's Lexus LF-A arriving to the border first and May in his Aston Martin Vanquish second, the SRT Viper suffered an unfortunate loss while Hammond was left to cross the border on his own as punishment.

This week, American muscle is back with a vengeance. Richard Hammond and James May tasks Jeremy Clarkson to choose a car that is no more than £35,000 to face off against the high-speed pan-European rail network in a race starting from the town of Wembly all the way to the San Siro Stadium in Milan. A price cap challenge meant to trip up Clarkson, the cunning Jezza turns the adversity into an opportunity to hope into the £35,000, 662-hp Shelby Mustang GT500, the latest halo car from Ford that is capable of over 200 mph.

As the finishing destination suggests, the winner will receive tickets to a top flight football match in Milan.

Beyond the epic challenge, tonight's Top Gear will also feature Jeremy test driving the brand new Toyota GT86 coupe (Scion FR-S in North America), a car that Clarkson is particularly fond of after filming a Top Gear special during the summer.

Finally, this week's Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is the car-loving singer-songwriter Amy MacDonald.

Top Gear airs once again this Sunday with Top Gear Season 19 Episode 3 scheduled to air on Sunday 10 February on BBC2 and BBC HD at 8pm GMT. For those that missed Top Gear tonight, watch the complete episode online here.
