Donald Trump escalated his feud with Bruce Springsteen by sharing a digitally altered video showing himself hitting the musician with a golf ball, just days after the singer publicly criticized the Trump administration from the stage.

Tensions between the two public figures flared last week when Springsteen, speaking during his Land of Hope and Dreams tour in England, called the Trump administration "corrupt, incompetent and treasonous." The rocker, who supported Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, also warned of increasing threats to free speech in the United States, according to The Hill.

In response, Trump lashed out on Truth Social, branding Springsteen "a pushy, obnoxious JERK" and questioning both his talent and political allegiances. On Wednesday morning, Trump posted an 8-second video that begins with him taking a golf swing and ends with an animation of a golf ball hitting Springsteen in the back, knocking him over.

This isn't the first time Trump has circulated edited videos of himself using a golf ball to take symbolic jabs at his opponents—he posted a similar clip targeting Hillary Clinton in 2017. Additionally, Trump has hinted at launching a "major" investigation into whether celebrities like Springsteen were improperly paid to support Democratic candidates under the guise of performance fees, specifically referencing Springsteen's performance at a Harris campaign event in Georgia last fall.

While the video is clearly satirical, it underscores the increasingly personal tone of Trump's ongoing conflicts with entertainers who criticize him.
