Christina Grimmie was instantly saved by America! NBC

Tonight on “The Voice” the top five semifinalists, Jake Worthington, Christina Grimmie, Kat Perkins, Kristen Merlin and Josh kaufman, learned their fate. Three of them moved on to next week’s finale and two of them were sent home. Also, America got to instantly save an artist for the last time this season. Season 5 finalists Jacquie Lee, Will Champlin and winner Tessanne Chin returned to perform

Carson called the five semifinalists to center stage to reveal the first artist saved by America. Carson announced Jake Worthington as the first finalist from team Blake. Carson called the remaining four artists. He announced that Josh Kaufman from team Usher was saved by America and would be performing in next week’s finale.

Christina Grimmie, Kristen Merlin and Kat Perkins were in the bottom three and had to sing for their lives and also for America’s instant save. Kristen Merlin sang “Blown Away,” Kat Perkins sang “Good Girl” and Christina Grimmie sang “Apologize.” Then it was time for America to instantly save one of the artists, the other two were sent home. Christina Grimmie was instantly saved by America.
