"The Walking Dead" season 10 episode 16, which is the “finale” episode will involve a lot of twists and turns and an unexpected fight between one of the largest zombie horde in the history of the franchisee and the survivors on the show.

Even though "The Walking Dead" season 10 episode 16 is being called the finale, AMC did announce an extra six episodes in the season that will air later in 2021. But in the rest of the article, we are going to address it as a finale.

Even though there are not many spoilers related to the plot, there are some expected things that are expected to happen in the upcoming finale. Therefore, people who do not wish to read about it can probably stop here.

The finale will see how Beta leads the group of remaining whisperers as they join one of the biggest hordes of all times to launch a final attack against Alexandria and the other communities. It is expected that this attack will be worth the wait and will nicely conclude the two years’ worth of the storyline as different aspects and loose ends following the supposed death of Rick Grimes in Episode 9 are tied together.

Beta’s enemies are all hiding in an abandoned hospital as the horde and the Whisperers surround them. The Whisperers are expected to eventually break through the building, which seems big enough to house the entire surviving population from the Kingdom, Alexandria, Oceanside and the Hilltop.

The entire scenario will indeed leave the fans in a nail-biting position but the survivors will eventually come up with a way different and an interesting way to handle the horde. With this particular scene wherein Alexandria executes its plan to battle the Whisperers, the writers and the producers will step up the tone of the series.

On the other hand, Lauren Cohan, who plays the role of Maggie in the series will be back in the finale. However, it is not likely that the finale will focus on where was she all this time and how things turned out to be for her.

Ezekiel, Eugene and Yumiko are also expected to play an important role but the powerhouse performance role is expected to go to Carol, a role played by Melissa McBride. Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s role as Negan and Seth Gilliam’s role as Gabriel will also continue to attract even praise from the fans because of their performances.

"The Walking Dead" season 10 episode 16 titled “A Certain Doom” airs on Oct. 4 at 9 pm ET on AMC.
