This one was bizarre. Taking a break from her “Prismatic World Tour”, pop star, Katy Perry, visited the College Gamdeday set in Oxford, Mississippi. Perry showed up wearing a furry pink and black football “jersey”, and spoke with a phony southern accent as she predicted many college football matchups with the Gameday crew.

A true entertainer, Perry did not disappoint in a sports world completely new to her. Perry brought props, trash talked, and correctly predicted many of the upsets that took place on Saturday. Perry, who admittedly does not know a lot about football, was appropriately coached before her performance, most likely by her manager, Bradford Cobb, an Ole Miss alumni.

Perry butted heads with ESPN’s college football analyst and Colonel Sanders doppelganger, Lee Corso, throwing off his Alabama elephant head at one point which fired up the Mississippi crowd. Perry also ignited a media frenzy when she told Oklahoma quarterback, Trevor Knight, to “call her.”

Perry was spectacular during her roughly 15 minute segment on the show. In addition to asking out Knight over the air, Perry trolled LSU with corn dogs, and brought props like Trevor Knight’s face on a heart, a large pencil meant to mock Corso, and five “hot totties” for the Gameday crew.

When asked who would win between Oklahoma and TCU, Perry replied: “I’m picking this one based on looks. Trevor Knight, do you hear me?” she said candidly, “Call me.” She then pulled out her large heart-shaped prop with Knight’s face on it.

Perry put LSU on blast on the show calling them “L-S-Pew”, and taking out a plate of corn dogs from under the Gameday desk, in reference to the social media myth that everyone from LSU smells like corn dogs. Perry threw all the corn dogs at the cameras, while rallying the Ole Miss crowd as she correctly predicted that the Rebels would upset #3 ranked Alabama.

After the show, Perry attended the game with Cobb and her mentor, Glen Ballard. She could be seen jumping on players and having fun with fans on the sideline before she partied at local bars celebrating the victory. According to multiple reports on twitter, Perry jumped on top of bars, took shots, chugged beers, and crowd surfed with Ole Miss fans.
