Watch 'Law And Order: SVU' Season 15 Return As 'Save Benson' Saga Comes To A Close [SPOILERS]

Tonight at 9 p.m. ET “Law and Order: SVU” returns with the final chapter in the “Save Benson” saga as Detective Benson must come face to face with the man that kidnapped and attacked her. Mariska Hargitay plays Olivia Benson the senior detective at the SVU squad her character has been a part of the show since it first aired in 1999. The Benson character has been through a lot over the years and tonight she will deal with her toughest challenge yet, facing her attacker. Pablo Schreiber returns to “SVU” as the serial rapist William Lewis.

Lewis appeared in Season 14 of “Law and Order: SVU” preying on a number of women. The SVU team could not get any of the charges to stick and the man was able to walk away from his crimes. Following his run in with Detective Benson, Lewis kidnapped her and held her for days all they while tormenting and beating her. Benson was able to outwit her attacker and was able to subdue him and call for help. The incident did not leave Benson without physical and emotional scars. Tonight Lewis will go on trial for Benson’s kidnapping.

The season detective who has always told victims that facing their attacker is the best way to take back the power must now take her own advice tonight. In the promo for tonight’s episode we see that putting Lewis in jail for attempted murder is not going to be as cut and dry as Benson had hoped. An emotional Benson admits to Fin (Ice-T) that she lied and the stand and the jury knows it. As the verdict is being read we see Lewis smiling and the next shot is him once again holding a gun on Benson inside her home.
