A man and another man, who looks to be a taxi driver, were seen fighting in the middle of a busy Merseyside street.

The two males can be seen punching, kicking, and biting each other on cell phone footage.

The brawl is said to have occurred on Crosby Road North in Crosby on Monday evening. A passing motorist who stopped at the scene filmed the road rage.

A man stands next to the open door of a parked minicab in the video, while another man tries to kick him.

As the two appear to be fighting over an unknown issue, the man next to the car, assumed to be a taxi driver, also throws blows at the angry man's head.

When a black taxi driver notices the two fighting, he slows down, and it's a good thing he did since one of the brawlers is lying on the road in an instant.

While attempting to regain his footing, his opponent grabs his head and kicks him in the chest, causing him to stagger back.

The frantic footage then shows both men lying on the road, struggling aggressively with each other despite the evident danger as cars approach.

Meanwhile, a woman stands next to them, seemingly attempting to persuade them to see reason.

She steps in between them and extends her hand, but it is futile, as the two resume their violent conflict.

As one of the men struck several powerful blows, the individual who was filming the scene encouraged the men to stop fighting.

The event occurred while automobiles on the opposite side of the road queued at traffic lights during rush hour.

Merseyside Police has received a copy of the film from the ECHO.
