Even before Meghan Markle became a member of the British royal family, she was already internationally popular mainly for her role in the hit television series “Suits.” However, a biographer now claims that the Duchess of Sussex is not very popular within Prince Harry’s social circles as many feel that she has somehow “overtaken” her husband.

Biographer Angela Levin revealed that Prince Harry’s circle is a bit threatened by the Duchess of Sussex and her strong social and feminist views. Levin made the revelation in Gayle King’s CBS documentary titled “Meghan And Harry Plus One.”

“I think she's not popular in a lot of circles often because they adore Harry and they seem to think that she's running the show,” Angela Levin said.

Meanwhile, Daniel Martin thanked Gayle King for giving him the courage to express his support for his friend Meghan on King’s documentary. The New York based beauty expert was hesitant to be interviewed because he previously experienced “negativity, trolling and threats” for defending his friend.

“If it wasn't for @gayleking I wouldn't have had the courage to speak my truth about our dear friend,” Martin posted on Instagram. “I was hesitant to share this experience publicly today because I too have received so much negativity, trolling and threats for speaking out and sticking up for her.”

Daniel Martin knows the duchess rather well because he has been Meghan’s makeup artist for many years. He confirmed that negative reports about Meghan’s diva behavior on her show are simply untrue.

Other celebrities also came forward to support Meghan. For instance, Jessica Alba says that the duchess does not deserve the “negative press” about her.

Meghan, as well as Kate Middleton, was targeted by online trolls, as well as fans who started the Camp Kate versus Camp Meghan war on social media. The two royals were constantly harassed online that the royal family had to intervene and issue new social media community guidelines.

The battle between the two camps became too nasty that anyone expressing support for one royal will be immediately targeted by the other camp. They will receive insults and sometimes even death threats for expressing their views.
