Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo will not want to transfer to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, claimed Ray Parlour.

Parlour, the former Arsenal player, has said that Ronaldo would be a good signing for Arsenal, following Piers Morgan's comment on talkSPORT urging Arsenal to sign Ronaldo to Gunners. However, Parlour believed that the Portuguese international had no intention to transfer. "Why not? If you could get him. But I don't think he would want to go to Arsenal."

Morgan stated that Ronaldo is not given the proper respect in Man Utd, saying "there's an arrogance there about those players" and claimed that Ronaldo would be better off assisting Arsenal in the Premier League. The talk show host said he talked with the 37-year-old footballer and encouraged him to join the club. Morgan also stated that if he were the manager of Arsenal, he would go out and sign Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Garth Crooks believed the star should join the MLS soccer league. "The United States might be the place to establish that purpose. David Beckham and Ronaldo would make a formidable partnership in Miami."

Rumors emerged that Ronaldo would leave Man Utd this summer due to the club's weak and inconsistent performance this season. However, football journalist Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Ronaldo deeply understands the situation at Old Trafford. He does not want to put more pressure on the club by announcing his leave.

According to Romano, Ronaldo is wanting to meet Erik ten Hag to learn all about the newly appointed manager's plan for Man Utd next season. The Ajax head coach will reportedly replace interim manager Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season. Romano stated that Ronaldo would not reveal his next step until he could speak and discuss things with ten Hag.

After ending his contract with Juventus, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner made a dramatic comeback at Old Trafford in 2021. Ronaldo has since become the team's top goal-scorer, wherein he also executed historical hat-tricks for Man Utd. Ronaldo has scored 22 goals for the club in his 35 appearances across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Man Utd had a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal on Saturday. The Red Devils will likely finish outside the Premier League's top four.
