HBO boss Casey Bloys announced that the much-awaited "Friends" reunion would happen this spring.

Lisa Kudrow posted some information about last month's upcoming HBO Max special. Her comment created some doubt, though, when she said that she already had "pre-shot something for it." Some assumed, however, that the Reunion would take place remotely.

"The idea is that they would be together. The COVID situation has been complicated - not just for this, but for television production across the board," he told Entertainment Weekly. "So [we're dealing] with that as it comes, but it will be this spring."

Bloys' words will certainly come as a delight to any "Friends" fan, because they've been waiting over a year for this moment by the time the reunion films take place in the spring. But for both HBO Max and the fans, the wait was possibly exhausting.

Lisa Kudrow, who played Pheobe, clarified on Rob Lowe's podcast 'Literally' that the show is not a reboot. Instead, the actors are "getting together," which never happened in front of other people since the show ended in 2004. Hence, the new timeline for the special could prove to be much better.

The "Friends" reunion special, like many productions, has had its fair share of delays because of the coronavirus pandemic. It did not shoot in March or May of 2020 and was thus not eligible for HBO Max's launch.

Jennifer Aniston reassured fans amid anticipation that the "Friends" special would be worth the wait. The extra time will help them make the special "more enjoyable and more enjoyable.

Producers have spent a lot of money getting "Friends" to HBO Peak and getting the original actors together for this Reunion. "Friends" is mostly regarded as one of all time's most successful and best-loved sitcoms. It turned actors Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer into stars and ran for ten seasons.

Time can say what the special holds, but luckily it won't be that long to wait, since this spring's "Friends" Reunion will take place.
