A Florida woman was shot four times by her wife during a dispute at their West Palm Beach home. The shooting happened at the Lake Mangonia apartment complex on Monday, May 3.

Police responded to the home Monday morning after a 911 caller reported that her neighbor came to her door and collapsed, officials said.

Responding officers found a woman unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services rushed the unidentified victim to a nearby hospital. Her current condition is unknown at this time.

The witness told police the victim said that her wife shot her while they were in their bed. The victim’s partner, 38-year-old Harrinetta Crystal Jessie, was questioned and arrested.

Jessie is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm. Officials said she might face additional charges if the victim succumbed to her injuries.

The motive behind the shooting is unclear at this time. Officials said no further details can be revealed at the moment as this is an ongoing investigation.

In a similar incident, a man from Bhopal, India, was brutally murdered by his live-in partner’s husband. 45-year-old Raju was shot to death near a railway station on April 24, by his lover’s husband, Ram Prasad Jatav

The suspect had called his wife, 35-year-old Neetu, to come and meet their daughter, whom he said was ailing. The woman had eloped with her lover and was living in a different part of the city.

Jatav received his wife and her lover at the railway station. He then asked the victim to accompany him to the nearby railway colony where he said his bike was parked. The suspect then came back alone and told his wife that he had stabbed her lover to death.

The woman alerted the police after she found the victim lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds. The suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
