A 21-year-old Mexican influencer was shot to death last week in the Tierra Blanca neighborhood, in Culiacán, Sinaloa. The Sinaloa Prosecutor’s Offices put out an investigation on the death of Karla Maria “N” that has caused an uproar among the population due to the violent nature of her passing. The incident took place on Sept. 20 at the corner of Ignacio López Rayón and Catedrático streets, on the border of the Tierra Blanca neighborhood and the luxurious Paseo Alameda subdivision. Authorities said that the crime occurred after the influencer received a phone call, then left her home and walked to Catedrático, where she was gunned down, Mexico Daily Post reported. Eye witness reports say that a group of armed individuals arrived on the street as the influencer left her home. It was approximately 10:30 in the evening when she was ambushed and shot numerous times.

Sara Bruna Quiñonez, Sinaloa prosecutor said that the homicide of the influencer has been labeled as a "femicide," marked by the way she was exposed and completely defenseless when she was attacked. The police report said that Pardini had a temporary address in an apartment in the neighborhood.

Pardini was known for content that featured fashion and clothing, striking a blow of grief for her followers and her family. Her body was handed over to her immediate family and was buried in the Jardines del Humaya pantheon in Culiacán, Sinaloa. She is the 14th woman to be murdered in Sinaloa this year.
