According to The Sun, Kannika Kamton is said to have approached the 55-year-old tourist on an open-back bus. The prostitute was "severely intoxicated from alcohol" when she hopped onto the vehicle after it stopped at a traffic light. Once on the bus, she reportedly straddled the man. As Kamton allegedly sunk her teeth into the man's right ear lobe in Pattaya on Saturday night, passengers watched it in horror. The sex worker is said to have bitten off part of the flesh. Then she allegedly swallowed it. It left the victim screaming in agony.

As the man screamed in pain, she tried to run off. But after the incident, police were called to the scene. Officers didn't waste any time and helped the man by bandaging up the tourist's ear while he was "bleeding heavily" on the side of a busy road. After the officers helped him, the victim was taken to a hospital for an emergency treatment.

Cops caught hold of Kamton even though she had tied to flee before they arrived. She was handcuffed to a truck and then taken to the local police station to sober up.

Talking about the bizarre incident, Police Lieutenant Colonel Saijai Kamchula said that an "officer took control of the attacker, but she kicked the officer with her feet and resisted arrest, so extra help was needed to restrain her." He shared that the detained woman "will be prosecuted." He noted that there were many witnesses and the victim "wants to have the woman detained and prosecuted."

The woman's motive for the alleged attack is still not clear.

According to Metro, Pattaya, which is dubbed Sin City, is known for its prostitution industry and its 24-hour adult entertainment as well as clubs. Daily Star reported that more than a million people head to its red light district every year. Almost 20% of the population is said to be employed in the sex trade. Sex tourism started in the city when it became a leisure destination for American soldiers during the Vietnam War.
