Apart from boasting of a culturally rich heritage that draws influences from across the globe; Argentina is home to the world’s largest waterfalls. But, that’s not all. Igazu Falls

For starters, some of the must-visits in the city include La Boca, a colorful neighborhood that houses a volley of colorful addresses, including the Caminito Street Museum. The museum allows the wide-eye tourist to feast their sights on architectural marvels— brightly painted houses, intricately designed ancient sculptures, and zesty outdoor tango lessons.

Recoleta is another must-visit which offers a host of interesting sights to visit—ancient public gardens, art galleries, quaint countryside café, and boutique shops.

Ushuaia: The End of the World

This finds a spot on every intrepid traveler’s list from across the globe. The world’s southernmost city is surrounded by a spectacular landscape of mountains, sea, glaciers, and woods on the edges of the Tierra del Fuego National Park—a landmark known for its rich flora and fauna. Some of the other touristy locales to visit are San Juan de Salvamento lighthouse, which was constructed in 1884 on the Isla de los Estados.

If you’ve had an innate flair for history and early penal colonies, the End of the World Museum is well worth a visit. And so is the Maritime Museum of Ushuaia, built on the premises of the town's former military prison. The museum houses a corpse of maritime artifacts and scale models of famous ships such as Darwin's Beagle.

Tierra del Fuego National Park

From the dense forests and tall waterfalls to the enchanting glacier-fed lakes such as Roca and Fagnano; there are a plethora of breath-taking sights to visit as your trail along the coastline of the Tierra del Fuego National Park. If you’re on the lookout for ways to savor the scenic beauty at the comfort of an indoor space, book a ride on the superb Southern Fuegian Railway, an elegant antique steam train which maneuvers through the park to Canadon de Toro.

Mendoza

Pegged as one of Argentina's most beautiful cities, Mendoza offers plenty of sights to look forward to, all year round. That time of the year when the snow flies is often termed as the most ideal for skiers to experience Andes' best ski slopes at the popular resorts of Las Leñas, best known for its steep terrain. For those on the lookout for a great summer hiking trail, the plan doesn’t disappoint either. Outdoor enthusiasts are known to drop by in hordes to climb on top of the 6,960-meter-tall Aconcagua mountain.

Some of the other activities include whitewater rafting and trail riding, some offering overnight adventures with camping under the stars. What needs to be noted is that Mendoza has several cultural attractions, including a number of ancient museums and annual festivals, including a bustling Central Market (Mercado Central) that serves up some of the freshest local produce available.
