As public figures, actors, singers, politicians, athletes, journalists, and TV hosts often face a lot of criticism on social media. Even though some entertainers decide to stay away from the web and not to catch up on what their fans and followers are saying, some choose to get involved in order to show their admirers that they appreciate their support.

Adamari López is one of the celebrities who has chosen to share some of her special moments on Twitter and Instagram, she even created a separate account for her first-born, Alaïa, so everyone could get to know her baby girl as well. Unfortunately, leaving things out in the open often makes the way for negative comments as well.

“You try not to pay attention to the comments,” the 44-year-old cancer survivor said when asked about mean replies. “I’m not saying they don’t affect you. But the way I see it, I always try to find the positive side, and that’s in general, in life.”

She continued, “Sometimes I just think that people reflect how they are feeling when they talk, and that’s what they express. If they are going through good times, they make nice comments, if they are going through bad times, then they are just reflecting how they feel.”

López added that sometimes her fans good intentions turn out to not so great, like when they keep congratulating her on her second pregnancy.

“I’ve had people everywhere saying I was pregnant,” she confessed to Telemundo’s “Suelta La Sopa.” “No! It’s my outfit that makes me look pregnant, or I’m chubby,” she shyly replied.

Although Adamari is taking the critiques like a champ and she is not going around insulting people back, she has previously admitted that no one likes to read negative comments or being constantly attacked.

“We are human beings, and no one likes to be called chubby all the time,” she told Mundo Hispánico. “Not when you are pregnant, and especially not when you are not.”
