Wedding bells are ringing for Anahí and fiancé Manuel Velasco. Ever since the Chiapas governor proposed to the former RBD beauty in an intimate ceremony in front of family and friends back in September, Anahí has spent some time thinking about the wedding and how everything will go down on her special day. One thing we know for sure is that the ceremony will take place in April! Velasco’s mom, Leticia Coello spoke very candidly about the upcoming nuptials during an event in Mexico and spilled the beans. “They still haven’t settled on the say, but the wedding will take place in April,” she said.

“We’re very happy,” she continued. “We love Anahí very much, she’s a sweetheart, very committed and she loves the state of Chiapas. She’s doing a great social work through her foundation (Sálvame),” Coello added. While Coello is not involved in planning the wedding, she also revealed that Ana Gabriel will make a special appearance at the religious ceremony, as she will perform the Ave Maria. Coello also mentioned that per tradition, her family is giving the couple a heartfelt gift. “Here we give the newlyweds something that had belonged to the family or the grandparents. A detail that has a deep value, and we’re already preparing it!”

After the wedding revelations went public, fans began requesting Anahí for more, and this time they asked her to give them a sneak peek of her wedding dress. Never disappointing, the singer posted a picture on her Instagram account next to a group of women holding pieces of fabric. She captioned it, “Thank you with all my heart! Here I present you the women from Chiapas who are giving their hands to create my dress under the direction of Benito Santos. I’m filled with joy that this is a Mexican job and that we’re enjoying the whole process so much. José Ramón Hernández as always, thanks for being my accomplice and for everything.”
