Don't miss the important Argentina Vs Belgium match, which kicks off Saturday, July 5, at 12:00 p.m. ET! U.S. soccer fans are still struggling to come to terms with the frustrating loss against Belgium, but today is a new day! In fact, this Saturday game will probably be our moment of sweet revenge as Belgium faces its most challenging team yet in the World Cup championship. Will the Argentina make a "Messi" out of Belgium waffles? We certainly think so!
No doubt, Belgium is a very strong team to make it to the Top 8 of the World Cup. However, in the eyes of many World Cup experts, the Belgian team are clearly lacking the magical X factor that the Argentina team possesses. More specifically, Belgium does not have a superstar anywhere near the high caliber Lionel Messi. What's more, Messi is particularly driven for victory at this World Cup as a title would cement Messi's status as the irrefutable greatest footballer in the history of the sport.
However, Messi's superstardom can also be a curse. Argentina's performance is excessively dependent on their star striker even though they have the potential of a wide range of quality in their ranks. That said, some experts argue that Argentina, with or without Messi, is still a stronger team than Belgium. What's more, even if Belgium marks Messi very closely, Belgium may not be able to stop him.
So there you have it. Let's go Messi! We are all convinced that Argentina will dominate the Belgium team that defeated our U.S. men's soccer team. To get the celebrations started a little early, here are a couple of hilarious memes and vines to get the gloating started ahead of Argentina Vs. Belgium!
