Ariana Grande recently showed her support to a model who was asked to send nudes upfront by a photographer. Marcus Hyde received flak on social media for exploiting models.

Sunnaya, a model and interior design student, shared screenshots of her conversation with Hyde via Instagram earlier this week. In their conversation, Hyde told the model that nude photoshoot is free, while lingerie and partial nudity shoot would cost $2,000.

Hyde also encouraged Sunnaya to send him nude photos in their conversation to see if she’s “worth it.” But when the model declined, the photographer declared that he will just take photos of celebrities. Hyde previously snapped photos of Grande and Kim Kardashian.

Shortly after Instagram user @diet_prada reported Sunnaya’s conversation with Hyde, Grande penned her own post via her Instagram Story. The singer did not mention directly the name of the model and the photographer, but it was evident that she was talking about the recent incident.

“I hate that this is a conversation,” she said. “But. Please do not shoot with photographers who make you uncomfortable or make you feel like you need to take your clothing off if you don’t want to. If you want to, sick. But if you don’t, please don’t,” Grande added.

The “God Is A Woman” singer couldn’t also help but curse at the thought of photographers asking models to pay more money for posing in their clothes. “I’m sorry that has happened to you,” she said.

“I promise there are so many respectful, nice, talented photographers out there. I hate hearing about things like this. I am sorry that that was anybody’s experience and know that it doesn’t have to be,” she added

Ariana Grande ended her lengthy post by encouraging models to look out for one another. She also urged models to tag the photographers whose work they liked and have had positive experiences with.

The Grammy winner also dropped the name of the photographers that she trusts the most: Alfredo Flores, Ricky Alvarez and Stefan Kohli. Flores is in charge of photographing Grande’s “Sweetener” tour.
