Belinda and Bad Bunny at La Casita

En Español

Belinda and Bad Bunny's fiery dance at La Casita during Sunday's stop of the Debí Tirar Más Fotos tour unleashed a viral storm of videos, photos and, most of all, comments about what happened between them, what might have happened after the concert and how their relationship could evolve.

Anyone familiar with the Latin music scene knows that Bad Bunny's La Casita at El Choli has become a magnet for celebrities. Over the years, it has welcomed Hollywood names like Jon Hamm and Austin Butler, Penélope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem, as well as some of the biggest stars in Latin entertainment, including Residente, Becky G, Ivy Queen, Tokischa, Beto from Rawayana, Mau y Ricky and many more. On this occasion, Belinda arrived accompanied by Sebastián Yatra.

Still, none of those appearances created as much buzz as Belinda's. The "ship" between her and Bad Bunny is hardly new, since fans have been imagining a professional and personal connection between them for more than two years. It all began in January 2023 with Bad Bunny's album Yo Hago Lo Que Me Da La Gana, when in the track VOU 787 he referenced Belinda's characters from the telenovela Cómplices al Rescate.

"I don't speak English, American, I look like a model, French Guyana, if I were a woman, I would be Madonna, I would be Rihanna, setting trends, Mariana and Silvana... mmm, yes," Bad Bunny sings in the song.

"When the notes tell stories reflected in melodies, the echoes of this song confirm that Mariana and Silvana continue to set trends, the surprises that music gives you," Belinda's mother, Belinda Schüll, said of Bad Bunny's song. In other words, they noticed the mention.

The song's lyrics also reminded hardcore fans of a photo the Puerto Rican artist had posted to celebrate Christmas 2018, in which he was seen as a child with one of his brothers opening presents. One of his gifts was a Cómplices al Rescate album, featuring the soundtrack to the Televisa series starring the artist.

"Benito was a fan of Belinda since childhood , and this photo proves it," wrote one of the Mexican's fans.

That same year, Benito mentioned her again in his song Perro Negro , which he sings with his Colombian colleague Feid, part of the album Nadie Sabe lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.

In the song, Bad Bunny sings: "You make him crazy, cocky, like Belinda. Shake my cap until I give up. A son in the club, I'm going to get you pregnant."

Belinda declared herself flattered at the time and said that even though she didn't know him, she was planning on joining him. She even returned the compliment in her song "La Cuadrada" with Tito Double P.

"Don't say no, I've got you all crazy. Right away, right away you can see it in your eyes, when you see me you're all wet. I've got you all dressed up, as Benito would say," goes the verse dedicated to the 'Bad Rabbit'.

But it was precisely that verse that he sang to her on the show and they danced in a very sexy way to the rhythm of reggaeton.

Previously, I had given her the honor that celebrities like Penélope Cruz and Zuleika Rivera have had of shouting: "Acho, PR is something else."

During the show, Bad Bunny gave Belinda the honor of saying the iconic phrase “Acho, PR es otra cosa” in Puerto Rico. Did she nail it? 😳👀

The artists also starred in a photo shoot at the entrance of La Casita, where Belinda asked Bad Bunny for his hat.

Now fans want at least a collaboration, although some more daring ones are even jumping on the Bunny bandwagon and shipping... dreaming of a romance. Whatever happens, there's no doubt that Bad Bunny's residency in Puerto Rico has been historic, and that Belinda continues to win like always.
