“Big Brother” Season 21 just aired its finale episode, and Jackson Michie was named as the show’s grand winner.
However, unlike previous seasons, this season’s winner and the other houseguests weren’t able to celebrate the success of the show after they were plagued with a slew of controversies. Jackson may have won $500,000, but this doesn’t mean that he earned the respect of the public.
Jackson was put on the spot by the houseguests and by host Julie Chen when they asked him to comment on rumors that he’s a racist, a misogynistic and a sexist. He denied the allegations and explained that as an only child who loves his mom deeply, he wants to believe that he has been raised well.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Jackson also said that he respects women no matter what other people may think. But he also acknowledged the fact that he might have said something to offend his fellow houseguests.
“I know who I am, and I know who I’m not, and I respect women more than anything,” he said. “I’m very abrasive and I have a lot of energy and passion for everything I say and do. And I’m that way toward everyone. And I know that it’s not right, but it has never been anything about demoralizing or being condescending to women, honestly … I truly do respect women. I hate that someone may think that out there,” he added.
Meanwhile, Jackson isn’t the only houseguest who was slammed during the live finale episode. Nick Maccarone faced his former showmance, Bella Wang, for the first time in weeks.
An upset Bella reminded Nick about the one thing she asked of him before leaving the house weeks ago. Bella asked Nick to not make her look foolish on television. However, he did exactly the opposite. While inside the jury house, Nick hooked up with Kat.
Before this, Nick and Bella professed their love for each other. They also said that they’re serious about their relationship. But on the show, Nick also said that he has developed feelings for Kat.
