A group of scientists that are part of an organization called the Sasquatch Genome Project set out to discover if the legendary Sasquatch, better known as Bigfoot, actually exists. At a press conference held in Dallas on Tuesday, the research team, which goes by the name The Erickson Project, announced they brought back video proof that Bigfoot is walking around the deepest parts of the woods in the state of Kentucky. The research team was led by Adrian Erickson. The video footage shows a large hairy creature walking around and taking a nap while the camera gets closer to the Sasquatch than any other human has in the past.

At least that is what these scientists would have you believe. The so called video proof of the existence of Bigfoot looks as cheaply made as a science fiction movie. In the first clip showing big foot, we see a large ape-like creature strutting through the woods. The thing is actually strutting, like a runway model. The creature is swinging its arm back and forth as it walks with a jolly step through the woods. You almost expect it to turn around and wink at the camera as it saunters off into the forest.

More proof comes in as a close up of the creatures' face, which looks suspiciously like chewy from "Star Wars." The Erickson Project scientists tempt fate as they venture close to a Bigfoot enjoying a midafternoon nap out in the open. For a creature that has been described as elusive, it doesn't seem to mind a chance at being caught on camera. Dr. Melba Ketchum has been working with the Sasquatch Genome Project for a few years and has spent $500,000 on testing DNA from various unknown hominin species.

Ketchum told ABC News that she followed a strict protocol and maintained a level of skepticism when analyzing DNA samples that were said to belong to Bigfoot or other unclassified and elusive species. "We soon discovered that certain hair samples - which we would later identify as purported Sasquatch samples - had unique morphology distinguishing them from typical human and animal samples," Ketchum said to ABC in February.

The Sasquatch Genome Project studied a total of 111 tissue, DNA and hair samples said to be taken from Bigfoot creatures all over North America. At the press conference on Tuesday, the team's project manager, Dennis Pfoul, showed other footage showing footprints in the Colorado snow that Pfoul believes is proof the creatures can be found in numerous wooded or secluded areas. Each of the scientists on the team are standing behind what they are calling proof Bigfoot is real.
