Thank you for reading our live blog of the game as the Dutch finish the 2014 World Cup undefeated and with bronze medals for third place. Please join us tomorrow if you cannot get to a television to watch the World Cup Final match between Germany and Argentina.

This will most certainly be the last game for Luiz Felipe Scolari and we know with certainly that it is the last game for Louis Van Gaal who now heads to Los Angeles, CA where Manchester United is currently training. Great way for the Dutch to go out.

90' +5': The final whistle blows and that's the ball game. A sham and mockery as Brazil is humiliated by the Netherlands. The nightmare is almost over, but it could get worse if Argentina wins tomorrow.

There is a mass exodus going on right now in the stadium as fans boo, cry, yell and voice their displeasure on their way out.

90'+3: Michel Vorm the back up goalie comes on to get a couple minutes of World Cup experience for the first time in his career. A very classy move by Louis Van Gaal.

90'+1': GOAAAAALLLLLL! Georgino Wijnaldum for the Netherlands receives a great pass from Arjen Robben and is wide open in the box. Easy goal. 3-0 Holland.

Five minutes of stoppage time announced.

90': Jordy Clasie comes off the pitch and Joel Velltman comes on for the injured young star.

85': Brazil needs to goals in the final five minutes plus stoppage time to salavage this game and their tournament. Ironically, the only team to have accomplished this feat so far has been the Netherlands against Mexico in the round of 16.

83': Brazil catches a break as once gain Robben is brought down in the penalty box. It absolutely could have been another penalty kick for the Netherlands, but the referee let's it go. Robben is stunned and stays on the ground.

75': Hulk with a shot just two minutes after he enters the game. A strong strike from the left side of the box, but it sails over the net.

74': Netherlands goalkeeper appears to be a bit bored:

73': Hulk comes on for Ramires and is welcomed with heavy boos from the crowd. He wins a corner kick just seconds after being on the pitch.

69': Oscar makes a move in the box and is challenged by Daley Blind. Both players go down, knee on knee contact. The referee gives Oscar a yellow card, on a play that looks like it should have been called the other way and a penalty kick for Brazil. Daley Blind is taken off the pitch with a bad knee injury and Daryl Janmaat comes on in his stead.

63': Brazil's Maicon storms down the pitch, loses the ball, flops and somehow gets a call for a free kick that is taken by David Luiz. Good attempt, it is on target, but save made by the Dutch keeper, Cillessen.

60': Brazil's Ramires finds space and gets off a great shot, but it sails just wide of the net to the left. Brazil is attacking aggresively here.

59': Great attacking opportunity for the Netherlands here, but the flag is up and the play is blown dead.

57': Hernanes has come on for Paulinho. Immediately commits two bad fouls.

54': Robin Van Persie was leading the attack down the left side of the pitch before he is tackled brutally from behind by Fernadhino, RVP went flying and Fernadhino was shown a yellow card.

49': Corner for Brazil and another chance here, they look a lot better in this half. Robben counters quickly and is tackled from behind. Blatant foul.

Second Half is underway:

HALFTIME IN BRASILIA! 2-0 Netherlands

45': Two minutes of stoppage time before halftime.

42': They stapled Dirk Kuyt's head back together and he ran onto the pitch. I don't want to hear anymore talk about Soccer players not being tough. That's crazy!

39': Holland's Dirk Kuyt is injured badly on the pitch with a head cut. He's bleeding profusely. He had to come off the pitch as doctors and medical personnel are working on him.

38': Another free kick for Brazil, taken by Oscar. Great cross again, two great chances as the ball flies by David Luiz and Thiago Silva in the box, but neither are able to get any leg on the ball. Missed opportunity there, but Brazil is attacking and putting some pressure on the Dutch.

35': Great cross on the free kick by Oscar, just misses a header chance, and Brazil get's the first corner opportunity of the game.

34': Brazil seems a bit more steady and has balanced themselves. The flood gates have not opened yet like they did against Germany. Paulhino gets a call, right outside the box and a great free kick opportunity is coming for Brazil.

Here is Daley Blind's goal:

We agree wise Hobbit, we agree:

Here's a picture of Daley Blind's goal. Video to come:

17': GOOOOOOAAAAALLL! Netherlands! Daley Blind for the Dutch finds himself open in the box and chips a shot up into the back of the net. His first ever international goal for the Dutch! Much like Germany, it was a very easy goal to surrender for Brazil. Can you say deja vu?

9': Arjen Robben is shown a yellow card for his tackle after getting the ball stolen in the Brazilian box.

Neymar is in the building!!!

4': As expected, Fred and Bernard are on the bench for the match, but surprisingly, Coach Scolari has given Hulk a seat cushion for the game as well.

Here is the RVP goal:

2': GOAL!!! Robin Van Persie easily converts the Penalty kick! 1-0 Netherlands.

2': The game starts off with a bang as Arjen Robben streaks down the right side of the pitch and blows by the Brazilian defense. Thiago Silva chases him down and tackles him in the box! Penalty kick and most surely a red card, but amazingly, the referee only gives him a yellow. Despite the looming PK, Brazil got a break there.

1': We just got word that Wesley Sneijder was injured during warm ups and that is why he is not in the starting lineup.

Welcome everyone! Kick off is minutes away. Here are the starting lineups courtesy of YouTube:
