British author Tom Bower, who is reportedly working on a book about Meghan Markle, has revealed that the Duchess of Cornwall once gave the former "Suits" star a private nickname over alleged suspicions of her intentions before marrying into the British royal family.

On Monday, Bower said Charles’ wife remained "tight-lipped" with her opinions about the Duchess of Sussex and chose to be her husband’s fortress, "while watching Charles painfully believe that Harry was intent on publicly humiliating him," the NZ Herald reported.

“Camilla is the sort who would refer to Meghan as ‘that ungrateful minx’ – the self-seeking troublemaker whose antics will always end in tears," he claimed, giving a brief mention of the Hollywood scene. "She found it hard to believe that Meghan would sacrifice her career and independence to serve silently as a team player devoted to the monarchy."

Earlier this month, Queen Elizabeth II, 95, unveiled a "sincere wish" for Harry’s stepmother Camilla, 74, to be known as "Queen Consort" when her eldest son Charles succeeds her as expected to the throne.

Bower noted that the Sussexes have stayed silent about the monarch’s announcement.

"It is believed that [Meghan] has never liked Camilla, and I am sure the feelings are reciprocated," he alleged per Fox News.

Although Camilla played a significant role in the collapse of Charles’ marriage with the late Princess Diana, who died in a Paris car crash in 1997, the Duchess’ down-to-Earth style and sense of humor eventually won over many. Her unwavering service to the people also saw Britain eventually forgive Charles for his admitted infidelity.

The Duke of Sussex was recently spotted with his cousin Princess Eugenie watching the Super Bowl at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and witnessed how the Rams crushed the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in a fourth-quarter comeback.

However, it is noticeable that Harry was without his wife despite a blockbuster line-up of Hollywood stars, including Kendall Jenner, Jay-Z, and Justin Bieber, according to the Daily Mail.

With two babies to care for, Meghan is believed to have stayed in their $14-million Montecito mansion, which is less than two hours away from the stadium.
