After two years of being happily married, Carlos Pena and Alexa Vega have revealed that they are going to be parents! The great news was shared by both actors and "Dancing with the Stars" competitors on their social media pages.
"I cannot believe I finally get to say this... WE'RE PREGNANT!!!" shared the 27-year-old "Spy Kids" actress, stating that "it's happening." "A little blessing is joining the PenaVega family!!! We can't wait!!!" she confirmed.
The former Big Time Rush actor and singer also shared his two cents with his fans. "Breaking news! There is going to be a new cool kid in town… And by cool I mean dorky just like their father. A little PenaVega is on the way!!!" he wrote, also confirming the news.
Following their fun-filled announcement, the Miami-based Colombian actress and half-Dominican, half-Venezuela actor revealed that they were celebrating the big news on a sailing trip. "What do you do with your husband in the middle of the ocean while on a sailing trip? Rap BTR songs... Duhhhh," said Alexa.
The two "Spare Parts" stars tied the knot in 2014. They meshed their last names upon marriage and since go by Carlos and Alexa PenaVega.
Although it is unsure how the couple met and began dating, we do know that Alexa was unsure of dating Carlos. "When I met Carlos, I had never dated a Latin guy ... I don't know if it's because all of my family is like a Latin crazy family, but I've only dated tall, lanky white guys — everybody has been over six-foot-three and white," Vega said in a previous interview, reports Bustle.
"Meanwhile, Carlos is five-foot-seven, very Latin and he's an actor and I always said no actors — so, he was everything I wasn't looking for, but everything I needed. He is truly incredible," she added.
Bustle also noted that Carlos planned the proposal for three months and it was his former bandmates who encouraged him to pop the question. Congrats to the new parents-to-be!
