A man attempted to kill himself by consuming poison after being confronted by four women whom he was dating at the same time.

The incident took place on Nov. 6, at the Jorpatki village in the Cooch Behar district of West Bengal, India.

The casanova, identified as Subhamoy Kar, a medical store salesman, was cornered by his four girlfriends after they got to know how he has been fooling them.

The women contacted each other and decided to confront Kar. They barged into his home and questioned him, following which a heated argument broke out between Kar and his girlfriends.

During the scuffle, Kar rushed to his room and locked the door from the inside. He then reportedly consumed poison in an attempt to end his life, the Times of India reported.

Luckily, neighbors who heard the quarrel rushed to the home and broke open Kar’s bedroom door.

They then rushed him to Mathabhanga hospital from where he was later shifted to Cooch Behar District Hospital.

No updates were available about his current condition, however, local reports suggested that Kar survived the suicide attempt and is recovering at the hospital.

In another incident, the devastated father of a 10-year-old girl, who was sexually assaulted by their elderly neighbor, allegedly killed himself out of depression.

The 42-year-old father was found hanging dead near his home in Kottayam, Kerala, India on Oct.25.

The man was reportedly depressed after learning that his 74-year-old neighbor, a provision store owner in the Kurichi village, abused his minor daughter when she went to buy groceries from his store.

The accused had allegedly given sweets to the child in return for her silence. However, the incident came to light when the girl’s family members began noticing a change in her behavior.

No suicide note was recovered from the scene, investigators said. The police registered a case of unnatural death.
