Chelsea Handler traveled to Mexico City on her new Netflix talk show “Chelsea,” where she learned all about telenovelas -- from their cultural significance in Mexico to how they are made!

Although Handler was baffled at the fact that stars do not have to learn their lines, she was still given the chance to star in her own telenovela and practice her brilliant Español.

The full segment is set to appear in the May 12 episode of “Chelsea” on Netflix, which streams in 190 countries around the world at 12:01 a.m. PST. Watch the hilarious video below.

Chelsea’s love for Mexico is no secret. Not only does she love her former sidekick Chuy, but she celebrates with margaritas and breaks Trump piñatas whenever she can. Last March, she celebrated her birthday in Los Angeles with, duh, tequila and posted on her a video on Instagram professing her love for the country south of the border. “My Mexicans threw me a belated birthday party this morning. They are the bestest! Thank God for Mexico. #nowalls,” Handler wrote.

In addition, while in Mexico, Handler posted a photo of her “looking for a good tree” in Aguascalientes, to hang and break the Trump piñata she was carrying! This obviously played very well with the Mexicans, and so did the NSFW photo she posted before that, with the words “Trump Is A Butt Hole” on her body.

Reports indicate the Internet streaming service has given Handler a green light to basically do whatever she wants in her new talk show. But, “there’s something that sets it apart: it questions,” as the Daily Beast said. They also described it as “a show that is a war on stupidity,” which we totally agree with.

Handler has been known for her honesty and irreverence, to the point where she had to leave E! Entertainment due to irreconcilable differences. But now, Netflix seems like the perfect platform for the comedian to have the show she has always wanted to put out there; with no boundaries or limits. We shall see.
