A Spanish cliff diver is reportedly dead after he executed a cliff jump that was miscalculated over in Spain.

In a video shared by TMZ, the man could be seen leaping a 100-foot cliff in Spain with his family watching.

From the footage alone, it was clear that something had gone wrong in the jump. He let out a scream before hitting a jagged rock and then hitting the ocean. The woman who was recording the stunt was said to be the cliff diver’s wife and could be heard yelling: “Oh my God!”

In a report from the Majorca Daily Bulletin, the woman and the couple’s son were around during the tragic event. They had rented a boat for the day to tour the rocks on one of the Malgrats Isles by Santa Ponsa.

Authorities reportedly responded to the scene shortly after the mishap. They were able to retrieve the body of the cliff diver. However, the identity of the man has yet to be revealed. It also remained unclear if the man was visiting the area on vacation.

The victim’s wife and son reportedly received counseling as local authorities searched for his body using a rescue boat, helicopter and diving team, the Post reported.

This comes weeks after another cliff diver went missing and was later found dead on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

He was identified as Shane Uzzel who was found off the waters of Nawiliwili, on the island’s southeastern coast at around 6:00 a.m. in April.

Uzzel went missing at 3:30 a.m. on that day and police were informed about it by a friend.

A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew spotted Uzzel’s body about 50 to 60 yards offshore, and a Coast Guard cutter ship pulled him in. The crew administered first aid and attempted to revive. The 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at around 7:45 a.m. that day, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
