‘Creed III’ Rumors: Michael B. Jordan Will Do More Than Act In Trilogy

After two “Creed” films, Michael B. Jordan will reportedly be doing more than portraying Adonis Creed.

According to Tessa Thompson, who took on the role of Bianca, Jordan will be also stepping behind the camera for the first time as a director.

Thompson revealed the plans for “Creed III” when she spoke to ET on the red carpet at this year's Gotham Awards in New York City on Monday, Nov. 29. The 38-year-old actress also mentioned that she has already seen the script for the third installment.

"I have seen the script," Thompson said. "He's been in the development process for a while."

Both Jordan and Thompson were the main starters in the first two “Creed” films, a spin-off from the popular Rocky franchise.

Jordan will now try his luck at directing in the third installment. Ryan Coogler directed the first “Creed” movie with Steven Caple Jr. taking over in “Creed II.”

"It's been an aspiration of his, he always knew he would direct the third," Thompson quipped. "I'm excited to support him and to continue the journey of these characters that we love to play."

But this early, it appears Thompson is pretty confident that Jordan will be doing well. She pointed out how the 34-year-old has been active in movies in general, approaching them by heart.

Like Jordan, Thompson dreams of being a director as well someday. Most have tried their hand in directing and it appears the “Passing” actress is looking forward to getting her chance as well someday.

"It's a gift to think about entering that part of my journey, so I'm so happy to support Mike in doing that," she said.

Thompson topped this year’s nominees for her starring role on “Passing.” Together with “The Lost Daughter,” both films had five honors each.

The two films were also nominated for best feature alongside "The Green Knight," starring Dev Patel, "Pig," starring Nicolas Cage, and sexual-assault drama "Test Pattern," starring Brittany S. Hall, USA Today reported.
