Manchester United legendary striker Cristiano Ronaldo defended her eldest son’s fashion choices as seen in a picture with his grandmother, Maria Dolores.

Dolores uploaded photos on Instagram together with her grandson, Ronaldo Jr. wearing shorts, a t-shirt and a hoodie paired with socks and sliders. Some of Dolores' followers left a comment trying to critique the 11-year-old's choice of outfit, however, Ronaldo swiftly came to his son's defense.

Ronaldo is known to have a great sponsorship deal with Nike. He initially signed a sponsorship contract with Nike back in 2003, it was the year he first joined Manchester United from Sporting CP. The Portugal footballer has since become the face of the company, he then signed a long-term deal with the brand in 2016.

The deal was considered a lifetime agreement and worth a reported £780 million ($1 billion) overall. Ronaldo can mostly be seen sporting Nike gear exclusively, wearing their mercurial boots among many other items from the brand.

Meanwhile, people who replied to the post pointed out his son's mixing of the brands, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner replied to the post and said, "He wears what he wants. Not what you want." He had also previously defended his son further regarding the footwear that he had chosen.

Ronaldo Jr. already made a massive impact for Manchester United at the youth level this season. A lot of United supporters will no doubt be rooting for the child, hoping that he can come close to his father’s marvelous football career.

In January, Ronaldo referred to his son as the future while wearing his United training jersey. Dolores as well has been very supportive of her grandson’s career, claiming that the youngster was already progressing more than her son did at the age of 11.

Cristiano Jr officially signed with Manchester United's youth ranks in February after a series of intensive training with the club following his father’s emotional return to Old Trafford. He had previously played with Juventus wherein everyone saw how he had an eye for goals. Cristiano Jr. reportedly scored 58 goals in 28 games in Juve’s youth setup in 2019.
