The Dallas Cowboys have signed free agent wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. The Cowboys were in the market to add another wide receiver to increase the potency of their passing game. Dallas was hoping to sign Odell Beckham Jr., however his physical worried the team. Doctors claimed that Beckham Jr. may not be ready to play at all this season. With the Hilton signing it’s unclear if Dallas will continue to pursue Beckham Jr. this year.

Hilton adds a weapon in the slot for Dallas but also brings the versatility to play on the outside. Throughout his career, Hilton has been known as a slick route runner, reliable catcher, and a legitimate speedster. While as an Indianapolis Colt, Hilton recorded five 1,000 yards seasons and was named a four-time Pro-Bowler.

“Great addition,” head coach Mike McCarthy said via The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “We’ll get him out there Wednesday an get him acclimated…The timing is right. He’s ready to go.”

The Cowboys will fly to Florida to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15.
