A 31-year-old deliveryman in Vietnam saved a baby girl from falling to her death by acting swiftly after hearing a commotion he almost ignored. The man, identified as Nguyen Ngoc Manh, heard a child crying and a woman screaming, something he initially thought was just any other common disturbance in a family household.

However, his attention quickly shifted when people started taking the street, panicking and shouting. It was there he saw a three-year-old girl dangling from the 12th-floor balcony of the building per reports. The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday as Manh was waiting for a delivery package in Hanoi.

Upon seeing it, the 31-year-old who is a father himself scaled a six-foot wall that separates him and the building. He tried to calculate where the toddler would fall and felt that she would land on the metallic roof of the house where the electric generators of the building were stored.

Manh managed to get on the roof but lost his footing along the way. It was about this time when the girl lost her grip and fell. Somehow, Manh was able to grab the child who landed on his lap. The impact of the fall was so huge that it left a big dent on the roof. Footage of the whole incident was captured on video and has since gone viral.

The girl was immediately brought to the hospital after the harrowing incident. She ended up with a dislocated hip but without other injuries. Most important of it all is that she is alive and will just need to wear a cast to allow her hip to heal.

For his effort, Manh sprained his arm for his heroic acts. While most are calling him a hero, Manh said that he did not see himself as one and was just trying to do something good.

"Everything happened within a minute," Manh stated. "I don't see myself as a hero. I just want to do good."
