Mexican actor, Demián Bichir, attended this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego to promote director Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Western, “The Hateful Eight.” Bichir will star along with Kurt Rusell, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bruce Dern and Samuel L. Jackson, amongst others, and seemed as excited as the fans were to see the film’s new poster and hear the news that Enio Morricone will be scoring it. But before heading into the panel, the actor was asked about things he hated lately, to which he responded, “how much time do you have?”
Further on, E! News asked what his thoughts on Trump were and Bichir was quick to answer we should not “waste time on such small enemies.” The Mexican actor went on to say he does not think the mogul has bad intentions but it’s more “a matter of ignorance.” He thinks Trumps derogatory and discriminatory remarks just go to show “how little he knows about our culture and everything Mexicans have done for this country, and continue to do.”
The actor, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his role as an undocumented gardener in “A Better Life,” stands firm that voters will go with those who support an immigration reform. “"We all live in this country and there isn't a single day that an immigrant is not involved in our daily lives. They make it better and happier and easier, and it's just absurd to ignore that.”
