Kensington Palace finally addressed rumors that Kate Middleton had a Botox treatment. Rumors about the Duchess of Cambridge regularly getting a Botox treatment started after a small clinic based in London posted a before-and-after image of Kate and claimed that “Kate loves a bit of baby Botox.”

London-based plastic surgeon Dr. Munir Somji, the chief medical officer of the Dr. Medi Spa Clinic, claimed on Instagram that Kate regularly visits his clinic to get some Botox treatment. According to the doctor, patients from around the world see him just to undergo the same procedure.

“It truly is so simple,” wrote Dr. Somji in his lengthy caption for Kate’s photo. “There is no excuse for doctors to leave patients with brows on the floor. Note the reduction of the lines on the forehead. But also note the depression of the medial (middle part) brow but elevation of the lateral tail of the brow,” he wrote.

The doctor said that his Botox treatment helps provide Kate a subtle reduction of lines, as well as a better eyebrow position. He claimed that 90 percent of his patients, Kate included, have baby Botox and are happy even at three to four months post treatment. With his treatment, his clients get to prevent wrinkles while being able to move their facial muscles freely. “It acts like a little complexion freshener,” he wrote.

In response to the surgeon’s post, Kensington Palace released a statement saying that Dr. Somji’s claim was categorically false. “The Royal Family never endorses commercial activity,” the Palace’s statement read.

Dr. Somji immediately took down the post following the release of Kensington Palace’s statement. Dr. Medi Spa’s marketing manager, Sammy Curry, clarified that Kate did not get a Botox procedure from their clinic. According to him, the post only intended to show how baby Botox could transform the face.

While it is not true that Kate has been getting Botox treatments from the clinic, the Duchess of Cambridge has reportedly influenced a trend in procedures in the past. In 2013, women in New York flocked to plastic surgeons in the city because they wanted to look like Kate. Women were particularly keen on getting the duchess’s nose.
