A British-Iraqi doctor who volunteered in Gaza during the ongoing war has vowed to continue advocating for Palestinians, after Israel allegedly threatened to assassinate him and denied him entry into the enclave.

Dr. Mohammed Tahir, a trauma surgeon who treated more than 1,200 patients and performed over 300 complex surgeries in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, revealed in a post on X that he was once again been denied entry into the besieged enclave.

"The cursed Zionist entity has denied me entry into Gaza for the third time," Dr. Tahir wrote on Wednesday. He added that "on the very same day" his entry was rejected, Israeli officials threatened "to assassinate me in Baghdad — cowards who only know how to kill from the shadows."

Despite the threats, Dr. Tahir vowed to continue his work for the Palestinian cause.

"But know this — and let every single one of them hear it: I will not stop. I will not bow. I will fight you with every drop of my blood and every breath of my soul," he declared.

"'Far from us is humiliation!'" Dr. Tahir added, referencing a famous Islamic quote attributed to Imam al-Husayn, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad.

Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israeli Defense Forces have killed at least 62,614 Palestinians, including 17,492 children, according to Al Jazeera, and at least 111,588 have been injured. At least 1,139 people have been killed in Israel and 8,730 have been injured.
