A passenger on an easyJet flight from London to Glasgow sparked panic on Sunday after shouting about having a bomb, yelling "Death to Trump," and chanting "Allahu Akbar" before being tackled by fellow travelers.

The 41-year-old man was on flight EZY609 from Luton Airport when he began yelling in front of other passengers, claiming there was a bomb on board and demanding the plane be stopped, the Daily Mail reported. According to video footage later shared on social media, he repeatedly said, "Stop the plane. Find the bomb on the plane. Death to America. Death to Trump," followed by chants of "Allahu Akbar."

Passengers around him appeared confused and frightened, with some asking if he had a phone or anything dangerous in his bag. The situation escalated until a man from row 21 rushed forward and wrestled the suspect to the ground. Another passenger helped hold him down while others searched his bag, asked about potential weapons, and removed his wallet to confirm his identity. At one point, a woman was heard sobbing during a phone call, while others nervously questioned what the man might have hidden on him.

Flight attendants told passengers the plane would land shortly, and upon arrival in Glasgow, police boarded the aircraft and arrested the man. Video from inside the cabin showed officers calmly taking him into custody as he lay in the aisle. "You're calm now, are you going to be calm when I stand you up?" an officer asked. The man responded, "I'm calm now." When he asked for his phone and wallet, several passengers reacted with disbelief and profanity.

Authorities confirmed that the suspect had been charged and was scheduled to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court. A spokesperson for easyJet said the crew followed protocol to maintain safety and that the airline's "highest priority" is the wellbeing of passengers and crew.

Police said the incident appears to be isolated, and counterterrorism officers are reviewing video footage as part of the ongoing investigation.
