Filming of “Fast and Furious 9” has wrapped, cast member Vin Diesel has confirmed. The actor took to Instagram to share details about the movie and his excitement before the start of the holiday season.

Diesel, who will reprising his role as Dominic Toretto, posted a shirt-less picture of him from the gym on his Instagram page and announced the end of filming for “Fast and Furious 9.” The actor revealed that this was the longest shoot of his career, and this is a movie that he is “immensely proud of.”

With the production wrapping just ahead of the Thanksgiving holidays, Diesel said that he is going to take a much needed break before he jumps back into work for some of his other projects. The actor will be reprising his roles as Xander Cage, Riddick, and Groot, and he also confirmed there may be sequels to his other movies “Witch Hunter” and “Bloodshot.”

Diesel has been keeping the fans updated about the progress of “Fast and Furious 9” on social media. The last scenes of the movie were shot in Los Angeles, and Diesel shared a video from the production set on his Instagram page.

Although Diesel didn’t share any details about the plot, it appears as though the movie will involve a race. The last scenes of the movie were filmed at the racing tracks in Los Angeles, and Letty Ortiz actress Michelle Rodriguez said in the Instagram video that they were returning back to the old school Americana.

Diesel said that he is grateful for all the fans for their love and support for the franchise all these years. He also said that he hopes he and his team will be able to make the fans feel proud with the new movie.

“Fast and Furious 9” will be released on May 22, 2020.
