Following last week's premiere of HBO's "Game of Thrones" fans are ready for some bloodshed and drama. Episode 1 caught us back up on what exactly was happening in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros while we were away.
With a good foundation laid, and tensions constantly rising, everyone is eagerly awaiting episode 2, "Dark Wings, Dark Words." So what will happen in this week's episode? Beware swords will be unsheathed!
Unfortunately for our favorite wolf, tensions between Sansa and the Lannisters will worsen as she speaks poorly of the malicious King Joffrey. We have watched Sansa endure brutal beatings, humiliation and agony at the hand of Lannisters without so much as making a peep. The reason that Sansa is talking now is because of the blooming of flowers in Kings Landing, better known as House Tyrell of Highgarden.
In the preview released by HBO for episode 2, we encounter Lady Olenna Tyrell, Margery's grandmother. The "Queen of Thrones" is pushing Sansa to tell her the truth about King Joffery. Also in the preview we see Margery telling King Joffery that he should "do whatever he needs to do." Margery may be referring to punishing Sansa for treason for her treacherous descriptions of the King.
The preview shows a number of crows, dead crows to be exact, which represents impending death.
Another Stark who may be trouble is our rough and tumble Arya, who encounters with "Brotherhood without Banners." Will they kill her, or perhaps discover Arya's real identity?
Meanwhile, we finally will catch a glimpse of Jamie Lannister and Brienne on their journey to Kings Landing. Jaime Lannister entertains himself by toying with Brienne telling her that she's not the type of woman for Renly. He refuses to call her by her real name and incessantly teases her about her size and weight. "It's a shame the thrones isn't made of cocks, they'd have never got him off it," poking fun at Renly's sexuality.
Brienne is incredibly loyal to Renly even in death and she has had quite enough of the "Kingslayer." Fortunately for Brienne she is as strong and she is big and decides that it is time she shows Jamie that he is her captive.
Check out the preview for episode 2 below, "Dark Wings, Dark Words" will air on HBO at 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.
