Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez made her first public appearance on Wednesday after confirming the tragic passing of her newborn son.

The 28-year-old social media influencer looked stylish posing for photos at the Cannes Film Festival premiere for “Elvis” on Wednesday. She sported a sexy look in her silver gown, displaying her curves, while attending the red carpet event in France. Rodriquez accessorised it with silver jewelry, emerald drop earrings and silver heels. "MERCI CANNES __," the Argentina businesswoman captioned pictures from her trip.

The former sales assistant seemingly made France her runway as she was also pictured dressed in a black leather onesie carrying an orange luxury bag and finishing it off with designer sunglasses at the Martinez Hotel.

Rodriguez has been taking time out to care for her newborn daughter, Bella Esmeralda. Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend officially announced the name they had picked through social media alongside three adorable sleeping photos of the baby girl.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez revealed that their son had died at birth on April 18. Sharing their heartbreaking loss, the Portuguese footballer wrote on social media, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness."

They also expressed gratitude to those people who supported and cared for them. "We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you."

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who scored 24 goals in 31 games in all competitions, ended the Premier League season with Manchester United, who placed sixth. Ronaldo currently awaits the appearance of Old Trafford's newly appointed manager Erik ten Hag, who recently confirmed he wants to keep the 37-year-old forward in the team. Ten Hag has confirmed his attempt to restore United's former glories and CR7 is part of his plans.
