It seems as if Gerardo Ortiz is following the footsteps of Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, as he's also venturing to the big screen with a new movie! The film, called "Como un Sueño," will showcase 90-minutes of the Mexican singer's journey during the release of his studio album "Hoy Mas Fuerte" and will also document his tour.

Although it's rare for a Latin concert film to have a theatrical release, AMC Theatres is premiering Ortiz's documentary in nine U.S. theaters. "As we continue to deliver great experiences to moviegoers around the country, we are excited about providing a platform for unique stories and content that connect with our diverse guest base,” said Nikkole Denson-Randolph, VP Alternative & Special Content, AMC in a statement. “Como un Sueño is a groundbreaking and powerful concert film that will resonate with our Latino guests, as well as music fans from all walks of life."

"Como Un Sueño" was directed by renowned Dominican Jessy Terrero, who has directed music videos for artists such as Nicky Jam, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and Daddy Yankee. It was produced by Big Vida Entertainment and Del Studios.

According to Billboard, the 25-year-old singer, who was born in California, stated that “film goers will see moments that have never been filmed.” Will this awesome flick make it to your city on October 9? Check out the schedule (and trailer) below!
