As awards season kicks off, the Golden Globes are once again positioning themselves as a truly global television event. The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will air live on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, and viewers around the world now have a clearer picture of how and where to tune in, whether they are watching from the United States, Latin America, or overseas.
In the United States, the ceremony will broadcast live on CBS, marking another year of the Globes' return to a major broadcast network. The show begins at 8 p.m. Eastern and 5 p.m. Pacific, making it a prime time event across the country. Viewers with cable, satellite, or a digital antenna can watch through their local CBS station.
For cord cutters, streaming platform Paramount+ is the official home of the Golden Globes. The live broadcast will be available to subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan, while the full ceremony will be available on demand the following day across subscription tiers. The dual TV and streaming setup reflects how the Globes are leaning into accessibility after several turbulent years for the awards show.
Outside the U.S., access varies by region, but the Golden Globes maintain a broad international footprint. In Canada, the ceremony will be carried by Citytv, with streaming available through Citytv+. In Australia, Paramount+ is expected to stream the event live, with on demand viewing afterward for subscribers.
Latin Americacontinues to be one of the strongest international markets for awards season. Across much of the region, the Golden Globes will air on TNT, which has long served as the home for major Hollywood awards ceremonies. TNT's broadcast typically includes Spanish or Portuguese commentary, depending on the country, and reaches viewers throughout Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
Streaming audiences in Latin America will also be able to watch live via HBO Max, which is set to carry the ceremony across the region. The availability of both linear television and streaming options means viewers can watch from a TV screen at home or follow the show on mobile devices and smart TVs. In Mexico, HBO Max and TNT are expected to serve as the primary viewing platforms, with additional red carpet coverage offered by regional outlets.
Time zones work in Latin America's favor. Most countries will see the ceremony air during Sunday evening local time, aligning closely with the U.S. broadcast and making live viewing far more accessible than in Europe or parts of Asia.
Golden Globes nominees
The nominations for the 2026 Golden Globes recognized some Latino actors for their work in film and television. Jenna Ortega and Selena Gomez are nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and Diego Luna received a nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
In the film categories, Oscar Isaac was nominated as best actor in a drama film, in which he competes with Wagner Moura, and Benicio del Toro, as best supporting actor in a comedy film or miniseries.
In the behind-the-scenes categories, Guillermo del Toro was included in the Best Director category, while Frankenstein and The Secret Agent were nominated for Best Picture.
The Secret Agent is also in the Best Foreign Language Film category, where the Spanish film Sirat is also competing.
