The Pokémon Company Japan has announced the regeneration of the Pokémon game starring Pikachu, "Detective Pikachu."

The first thing you'll notice from the new title is that Pikachu is unlike any version of Pikachu you've seen before. First he's super stylish, imagine a Pokémon version of Sherlock Holmes. And secondly, this is one chatty Pikachu. Furthermore, the website for "Great Detective Pikachu" reveals the character will be joined by a human partner, as Pokémon usually are; but it looks like Tim, Pikachu's human companion, will serve as a sidekick this time around.

"Famous Detective Pikachu: The Birth of a New Partnership" is set to launch on Feb. 3 as a Nintendo 3DS download-only title costing 1,500 yen ($12.50). No word yet on whether or not the game will make it to the west but it would be fitting to get it here along with all the awesome content coming for the yearlong 20th anniversary celebration.
