The Memphis Grizzlies host the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, Jan. 9, at the FedEx Forum, looking to stretch its winning streak to seven.

The Grizzlies and Spurs are coming off contrasting previous games. Memphis won over the Orlando Magic, 123-115 while San Antonio bowed to the Boston Celtics, 116-121.

Ja Moran led the Grizzlies in that win over the Magic with 32 points, 6 assists and five rebounds. Jared Jackson Jr. was not far behind with 31 points to go with 10 boards.

Memphis is averaging 116.1 points per game, shooting 46.9% from the field and 34.1% from the three-point region. The Grizzlies are also averaging 49.3 caroms per game.

Defensively, they are allowing teams 111.3 points per game and 44.5% shooting from the field. They are surrendering 43.5 rebounds per game and hold a defensive rating of 75.

On the other side, the Spurs are coming off a loss to the Boston Celtics, 116-121. Zach Collins, Tre Jones and Josh Richardson led San Antonio’s losing effort with 18 points each. Collins also led the Spurs in rebounding with 12 caroms.

The Spurs are averaging 112 points per game on 47.3% shooting from the field and 34.5% from beyond the arc. They are also norming 42.8 rebounds per game.

San Antonio is allowing the opposition to score 120.6 points on 50.5% field goal shooting. They are giving up 43 caroms per game and hold a defensive rating of 71.

Against a Grizzlies team, the Spurs will need to defend better and control the boards better.

The Grizzlies are -11 spread favorites to prevail over the Spurs who are at +11. The Moneyline for this matchup is -595 for Memphis and +430 for San Antonio.
