Kate Middleton managed to secure support from the royal family with her secret skill. The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly has the ability to make Prince William feel comfortable.

While speaking with Nine News Australia, royal commentator Juliet Ridden said that Kate already secured the support of the royal family even before she married Prince William. The mom of three showed her ability to handle media scrutiny with ease.

“I think part of the reason Prince William felt so comfortable with Kate was that she was comfortable with this role — with the media following her, with being in the public eye,” she said. “The royal family realized, ‘yes, this is a royal in the making,’” she added.

After dating for a couple of years, Prince William and Kate separated twice, but they also got back together on both occasions. In 2011, the couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey. Two years later, they welcomed their son, Prince George.

Just hours after Prince George was born, Kate stepped out of St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing to introduce her firstborn to the entire world. Ridden called this move brave.

“We realized how incredibly brave Kate was to face those photographers on the steps of the Lindo Wing like her mother-in-law, Princess Diana had done with William in her arms. Nobody could envy her having to face the cameras within hours of birth but each time she has done it with such grace and poise we can’t help loving her for it,” Ridden said.

But before being comfortable in front of the cameras, the Duchess of Cambridge once faced a huge scare when the paparazzi chased her down while on board her car on her 25th birthday. At that time, the press was convinced that Kate and Prince William would get engaged soon.

In the documentary “Chasing The Royals,” the narrator said that Prince William became visibly upset with the paparazzi for hounding and harassing his then girlfriend. “Both he and Kate moved to a remote corner of Wales,” the narrator said. Following the incident, Prince William also released a statement urging the paparazzi to give him and Kate the privacy that they both deserve.
