A TikTok star, her mother, and three others have been arrested and charged with the murder of two men who died in an alleged car chase in Leicestershire, England, on Friday, Feb. 11

The TikTok influencer, Mahek Bukhari, 22, known on social media as “May B Vlogs,” her mother Ansreen Bukhari, 45; and another woman, Natasha Akhtar, 21; have been taken into custody and charged with murder after they reportedly chased down and ran over 21-year-old cousins Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin and Saqib Hussain, off the road, killing them and tearing their car in half on Friday night, Feb. 11, the Daily Mail reported.

The men, who were in a silver Skoda Fabia car, smashed through a central reservation and were declared dead at the scene.

Two men identified as Raees Jamal, 21, and Rekan Karwan, 28 were also charged with murder in connection with the incident and will appear in court on Thursday, Feb. 17. However, their involvement in the crash currently remains unclear.

Bukhari, a fashion influencer, who has a huge TikTok following of 128,000 followers with 3.2 million likes, made an ill-timed video in January 2022 in which she pretended to tell another person that she “killed someone.” In the video, Shawn Mendes’ “It’ll Be Okay” song can be heard in the background.

Meanwhile, a Q&A video that Bukhari had published on her YouTube channel in November 2021 is also being circulated online, New York Post reported.

In the video, when she was asked by her follower whether she has had beef with anyone, she responded by saying "No, I don't. I keep myself to myself when it comes to beef. I would say beef was coming to me last year and I cut off loads of people, lots of TikTokers actually, which was good for my mental health as well. Now I'm literally thriving and growing."

The mother and daughter duo, alongside their co-accused Akhtar, appeared before a judge at Leicester Crown Court through a video link. No applications for bail were made.

Bukhari reportedly has more than 120,000 followers on social media platforms such as TikTok and another 43,000 followers on Instagram.

The accused will next appear for a plea and directions hearing on March 18, 2022. Meanwhile, their trial date is provisionally set for Sept. 26, 2022.
