A 22-year-old man who broke into the dorm of four college students in 2018 has been decided. The man, identified as Jonathan Jose Ruiz, has been jailed following a hearing from the Orange County Superior Court.

Ruiz broke into the girls’ dorm in October 2018, ransacked their belongings and leaving lingerie all over the floor. He also helped himself to some milk and biscuits in the fridge. However, what gave him away was using one of the laptops where he browsed through pornographic websites. Even worse, the 22-year-old left semen at the scene, something that gave him away. Leaving DNA evidence at the scene, helped apprehend the pervert-intruder, NBC Los Angeles reported.

Authorities swabbed and sent the semen sample to the Rapid DNA program. The match was found due to a previous case that occurred a year earlier.

It turns out that Ruiz had a similar case in 2017 at the El Modena High School, authorities were able to track him down and arrest him. At that time, Ruiz was convicted of vandalizing toilets and was sentenced to 30 days in prison. He was also ordered to perform 200 hours of community service at that time. Unfortunately, that first episode was not enough to help him change his ways.

Ruiz was only 19 when he was arrested in 2018. Police found a pair of underwear that belonged to the women. There were other items found when he was arrested although these were not detailed.

Ruiz pleaded guilty to the felony counts of first-degree residential burglary and vandalism with damage of more than $400. He was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison by Orange County Superior Court Judge Gary Pohlson.
