After executing 11 Christians on Christmas day, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terror group is at it again. On Tuesday, ISWAP released a horrifying video of an eight-year-old boy carrying out the execution of a Christian hostage in Borno, showing how the ISIS (Islamic State of Iran and Syria)-affiliated terror group continues to ramp up its attacks on Christians.

The video, which was released by ISIS’ Amaq news agency, shows a young boy from ISWAP executing a Nigerian Christian in an unidentified outdoor area of Borno. “We won’t stop until we take revenge for all the blood that was spilled,” the boy warns other Christians in the video.

The emergence of the perturbing clip coincided with the killing of Lawan Andimi, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria’s chapter in the Michika Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State. That same day, Andimi was murdered by the Boko Haram Islamist Group, another terror group trying to establish a caliphate where only pure Islam is recognized and others are considered as infidels.

Rita Katz, director of SITE Intelligence Group, said there is no end to ISIS’s immorality. He also noted that the video of the boy killing a Christian could be seen as a throwback to the terror group’s days of having children carry out their grisly executions. SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks the activity of jihadist groups, was responsible for sharing online an image from the distressing footage on Tuesday.

Last December, ISWAP also executed 11 of their hostages in Borno on Christmas Day to avenge for the death of their leaders Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi and Abul-Hasan Al-Muhajir in Iraq and Syria. A video released by the group showed they had 13 hostages at the time, 10 Christians and 3 Muslims. They executed all the 10 Christians while sparing the lives of the two Muslims.

In recent years, ISIS has routinely exploited young children in conducting the killings of their prisoners. The terror group lauds children as “cubs of the Caliphate” and enlists them for tactical gains to ensure the longevity of the caliphate.
