Early this year The CW announced that "iZombie" will return for a third season, and now we have an idea of what we will see in the next installment's plotline. Rose McIver recently talked with TVLine and revealed part of her character's romantic life, her future with Major (Robert Buckley), the new bad guys in town and much more.

Speaking of her character's love life, McIver said, "No one wants to get cast as Liv’s love interest. They know where they’re going." She was, of course, talking about Lowell (Bradley James) and Drake (Greg Finley) who have both died on the series after being linked to Liv. She further went on to talk about her love prior to becoming a zombie, Major.

"I love that they’re friends first," she said of the former (for now) couple. "They’ve been able to stand by each other through thick and thin." That said, McIver also admitted, "It’s a really complicated thing — she’s grieving two dead boyfriends. It’s not that easy to jump straight back in with Major. I think they’re really great for each other, and … they love each other."

While indeed a sad situation, McIver much more felt for Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) losing his longtime love, Dale (Jessica Harmon).

"I was devastated by Drake passing away, but I was equally devastated by Clive Babineaux and his longtime love Dale Bozzio’s breakup," she confessed. "I just want Babineaux to be happy — bloody Liv, ruining everything by being a zombie."

Meanwhile, speaking with IGN McIver talked about Season 3, revealing that the production team is keeping things under wraps. However, she believes her character is curious about this new female zombie and she ultimately will keep her trust to herself until she learns more.

She also revealed that the plot will still focus on her and Babineaux's regular cases as crime has not stopped, but it will also dive deeper into the secret Seattle underworld of zombies.
